Is there a Kernel of Truth in the idea of panpsychism? How would it be possible that consciouness came from matter? Physical matter is limited and not complete. It could not handle the energy required to produce and maintain such a force. Rather matter must have come from consciousness. Thus implying purpose and intent! What do you think?
GRE Study tools that should be revised

Why can't a study tool for the GRE's be fun and provide the deeper processing needed to suceed? Why not create a program that pumps out GRE definitions and words in crossword format, so the learning process is fun???
Is it because we are considered to be too old by this time (according to Western society) and therefore in no need of games that enhance learning?
Is there an agreed upon age that no longer requires fun?
On the contrary, it has been shown that we can replenish or grow new cells or neurons in the brain, especially if you do crossword puzzels etc.
What about a program that randomly matches GRE words with their corresponding meanings out in Crossword format!!!??? Or perhaps Sudoku for the quantitative section.?
Would this be controversial because the GRE process is supposed to weed out those that follow everyday activities such as watching TV, reading the newspaper???
The industrial Revolution

Wow, one hears a lot about the industrial revolution when listening to/taing courses about sociology because the time of its arival marks the beginning of many periods of change. Why is this so? here is my answer, then post yours! ![]()
The industrial Revolution meant change for all the reasons discussed in Sociology, Radio/Broadcasting TV&Film & Psychology's Lifespan Development courses deem important, but a reason not taken into consideration may lie domant, or hidden (in the mindset unaproved by "our sponcers") but involves the idea of seperation of duty. The Industrial Revolution promoted or necessitated the implimentation of a mindset that was not unified. It used to be that b/4 this, families or commities would be involved and each had a say - like democracy should be. But, the industrial revolution led to a mindset that said that the "left hand should not know what the right hand is doing" This is just one example how two compliments became enemies.
Could it be that individualist societies are perhaps divided and not utilizing their strenghts to their optimal capasity?
Could it be that worklife isn't really the team mentality that it should be?
